PiSEA!

Peace In South East Asia... thats the online project I intend to start. Though I have done a bit of thinking and this regard... and even launched a project of the same name at TIG (www.takingitglobal.org), things really didn't take off partly because I lost focus and more importantly because I was lazy.


Anyways... now I wish to restart it... with a primary focus of understanding our relations with our neighbouring countries... and in the process figuring out ways that we can actually maintain peace and our interests as a nation!

Addicted!

I find myself truly and absolutely addicted to the Internet... and recently had a bad taste of could happen if I am deprived access!

Due to a technical fault, system adminstrators at work were unable to hook us up to the Internet for two whole days. And... as that happened I came to realize that how totally dependent I am on the Internet.

Day One was really tough... I left work as early as 8:45PM... which really early considering that I usually stay up till 11. And as I did that I rushed straight to a cyber cafe... and even got my girlfriend to sign up on Yahoo... and I came back to my normal self only after we had chatted for two whole hours.

Day Two was reasonably ok... though I felt miserable for I had to postpone a lot of my work due to not being able to using my email! However that didn't turn out to be much of a regret as by late evening we had our mail server back in action! But access in the truest sense of the word was not quite there!

My Blog...

I was all excited with the idea of creating my own blog. But now... when I have finally done it... and am about to put up my very first post... I am clueless as to what I should say! Strange... isn't it?

Anyways... for sake of the few people who care about me and would actually bother to read this... and for those strangers who were bored enough to visit the page... I'll say something... which I hope would be worth the effort required in typing out the blog address which is "http://vekspace.blogspot.com" and hitting the return key. Or click one of the few links that actually lead to this page.

One of the many reasons why chose to write this blog was a blogging community I found while surfing aimlessly through the dark alleys of the Internet. For sake of privacy... I shall not name this community... but the fact that a group of strangers could share such camaraderie while still remaining strangers inspired me to write a blog!
