Isn't it ironic that we believe everything that gets featured in the news to be true. How gullible we are... an entire nation's opinion can be cultivated by a few individuals who control what gets up there and on air.

I am greatly disturbed by the Americanization of our media. It is not that I hate the Americans... but I am wary of a cultural invasion which could destroy our sense of identity.

We as Indians may not have the best living standards in the world... but we have inherited a very rich and vibrant heritage... which I believe is almost priceless... and deserves to be defended at all costs.

I feel there is a need for our mass-media to stop aping the west... and tweak their reportage to suit Indian tastes. Or else... we may loose our identity for ever... and that is almost like being extinct!
