Who am I?

This I believe is question that struck most of us, and is perhaps refered to as "Identity Crisis" by some. I feel rather awkward that the only language I can use to convey my thoughts, ideas and emotions in an appreciable manner is 'English'. But then again... I'm not really bothered about that. What bothers me is the fact that English is alien to our culture, our traditions, and our beliefs. And of late... I have come to believe that the more I try to improve my skills in the English language... I grow further away from my roots.

But then again... is English really alien to India? The British are responsible for creating this nation. Rather it has been their misdeeds that created India, what I mean is that they were here on an imperial conquest, to loot and to plunder. It has been almost six decades since they left... but we are still colonized in spirit. You need an English language education to truly flourish in this country.

But then again... Is it fair to blame English for our failings as a nation... after all it is only the English language that unites all of us as Indians!
